Apparently this has been affecting other users but I can't get the bloody developer's website or forum to load so I can see what they have to say about it.

I'm a tad pissed. Most notably because I can't find a nocd or get in contact with the devs to try and get around or solve whatever the muppets have done with whatever copy protection I'm assuming is causing this shit.
